In addition to our Recovery Advocacy Day, Recovery Talks: Community Listening Forums, and various trainings and workshops, FOR-NY works to promote the power and promise of recovery through several special events held each year.

New York State Recovery Conference

Hosted in partnership with the New York State Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Providers (ASAP) and the New York Certification Board (NYCB), the NYS Recovery Conference brings individuals and family members in recovery, peer professionals, recovery support service providers, clinicians, non-profit organization and government agency leaders, wellness experts and other recovery allies to network and learn about recovery-related programs and topics. Stand Up for Recovery Day March 6, 2018!

Our voices were heard!

This March 6th, over 1,000 recovery supporters attended this year’s Stand Up For Recovery Day in Albany! Many thanks to all of you from the Recovery Community who joined us again this year in Albany! On behalf of millions of individuals and families in New York impacted by addiction, we came together in Albany to educate decision makers and the general public about addiction recovery and we will call for the end of discrimination that blocks access to addiction treatment, housing, employment and community-based recovery supports.
